Well, 38 years ago (1979) today, the book was released.

I remember having a software program (floppy) on my brothers Tandy where you typed
in answers to questions to go to next level.

I think I did that before reading the book..lol

    Enjoy today, bring your towels!

That hand picture.... wow, never seen a hand that looks like butt cheeks and/or boobs.

The game can be played online on the BBC website : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/art...e-to-the-galaxy-game-30th-anniversary-edition

It was originally a radio series, then a series of books, a computergame, a tv series and finally a film - and they all contradict each other!

    One of my favourite authors.

I often tell my children that they're hoopy froods who really know where their towels are. And they know to put that towel over their heads if they ever encounter a Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal.

One of my fav. I even use a character name for a few of my user names.

Yep. That radio series got my attention like I'd been smashed in the head by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick.

I hear they are doing a new version of it

We have the DVD. I wasn't aware of all the other aspects.
Gotta say it...the movie is dumb.

I remember my friend from London brought a bunch of cassettes of the radio show when he came to Berkeley in '75...
