    Various Weber models get *very* close to the old Jensens, IMO.

    Yes, I haven't found a decent substitute for vintage Alnico Jensen's yet. Even the Weber's I tried were quite different in sound and performance - loud and punchy but rather spongy and unfocussed.

    Might be. Others say they are close, other say something else.

    I personally don't mind if my speakers sound like vintage Jensens or not... If they are in the same ballpark and sound _good_, that's enough for me.
