I just ordered a "new" B-stock Standard Telecaster from Reverb. My experience has been that these kinds of items look brand new. We'll see. I'm excited about it. I just couldn't say no to the price.

Gmountain... Congrats... I’ll bet you’re going to be thrilled with it!

Fender Standard Teles are great guitars at a great price.

I just grabbed a new Standard myself (loaded body only) from Stratosphere, threw on a Baja neck that I had, and I’m totally loving it. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. And the price is right.

We will have to search for SOMETHING else to complain about!

Shoot us some photos when you get yours.

Here’s the Standard I just got:

OK, it just arrived and it's brand new. I cannot find a single issue with it. Not a flaw, not a smudge, all the case candy. Everything is perfect-even the pickguard still has the protective film. If this is what b-stock from Music 123 is like, I'll get everything from them.

    Congratulations. That’s great.
Fender b-stock has been kind to me. I got two brand new guitars for hundreds cheaper. One fell down at the store. Took me a week to find the tiny dent near the bottom strap button. The other one had a small finish flaw right above the neck plate. I’m going to gig these things and beat them up anyway.

Isn't B stock also something that someone just didn't like, and returned it?

I have no idea wHat the issue is. It was sealed in the original box, using tbe metal clips

Yes. Fender does not ship or sell factory "B" stock.

I have been stunned by Fender prices in recent years ... as such I have picked up several used teles/amps inc DRRI and 64 AVRI in ‘as new’ condition from private sellers for a good 1/3 off. It never takes much looking.
I’ll never buy new again, apart from underwear...

Try being in Canada. With the price increases coupled with our dollar dropping from at par to around $0.78 on the US dollar gear prices here have skyrocketed in the last 4 years. An American Pro is pushing two grand. American Vintage (original) are pushing $3000.

  16. Great job and very nice. I only buy used or greatly reduced in price. Just bought a Gibby from Reverb, with St Patrick's sell, I paid $760 for a $1950 guitar with free shipping (CME).

I finally got a chance to play it for while yesterday. Plugged into a Vox AC15. Oh man, did it sound great and play great.
