If you notice very rarely do they have anything in the back. It is almost always open box items .
I prefer Sweetwater instruments, they back up there guitars with a free in house warranty. I think Guitar Center is gone this summer. In many ways I hope not but they need to put Quality first, or else. I have all my guitars and Amps I will ever need. Believe it or not Amazon also stands behind any instruments.
wow, twice in one day
That video has already been discussed here. The imbecile who made it wouldn't be able to pass a high school business class.
If you read financial sites, you'll find lists of distressed retailers in serious financial trouble and who are expected to file bankruptcy and/or close many stores this year. You won't find Guitar Center on those lists, at least not on any of the sites I read. Nor last year and as far back as I can recall.
Last week I saw a list of all retailers who closed 3 or more stores in the past year. Guitar Center wasn't on the list.
But yeah, any day now.
They will close their doors this Summer because it's hot and you don't want to let the air conditioning out of course they'll close the doors what are they savages dude this is a no-brainer.
My friend is an exec with them- they do not plan on closing anytime soon.
and in fact have new store openings planned for this year and next year.
WHY oh WHY do these come up?
Paid disinformation spreader? competitor s**t stirring?
These threads are as much a part of TDPRI in house joke as cargo pants etc. How could the OP not know?
Perhaps it's a joke? if so BAN!
I wonder at the reasons for these posts too.
Why do so many posters seem to want a company to fail? Is Guitar Center that bad?
Doesn't reflect well on TDPRI IMO, but I'm a foreigner so what do I know?
Get a life
This is IT, man!
I've posted this in another thread-the MF warehouse here in Kansas City now has a GC sign instead!
GC is the best place to buy used guitars imho.
They probably should close their doors!
They're letting all the heat out, come on that crap isn't cheap.
My GC's back room is stacked to the roof. Literally to the roof.
I was in the Columbus, OH store last week.
Lots of amps and the acoustic room was loaded with expensive lumber.
Looked at the 4 cheap 12 strings and they all were unplayable......firewood.
Pity the kid who would get one and try and learn guitar. They would probably end up on drugs.
Anybody who tries to learn guitar by playing a 12-string is probably already ON drugs.
Most are still making, but stocks will go up and down. I could see acquisitions.

No. The economy in America is finally doing nicely, sales will pick up. Also, inflation is bound to increase, at 2% or more. It doesn’t sound like much, but that means that GC’s debt loses more than 2% of it’s value each year because the effect is compounded over time. If they keep costs under control, they should be able to keep things running.
